Service desk software without the project
Internal IT rarely fails on process. It fails on tools that need a project of their own before they help anybody.
A service desk collects requests from your own colleagues: access, hardware, "it does not work". The classic tools model that with a process framework and half a year of setup. rapidFOX covers the same ground with tickets, teams, deadlines and a knowledge base – and is running the same afternoon.
What a service desk has to manage day to day
Requests come by chat, by email and by someone stopping you in the corridor.
Everything becomes a ticket in the same list – by mailbox, by an embeddable form, or entered in ten seconds by hand while the person is still standing there.
Support, accounts and engineering see each other's tickets and lose the thread.
Teams keep the work apart: each team sees only its own tickets, optionally with its own mailbox. Administrators still see everything.
The same three problems are solved from scratch every month.
Solutions become wiki articles, and the AI offers the matching one inside the next similar ticket. What the team knows stops leaving with the person who knew it.
ITIL tools need a project before they help anyone.
rapidFOX has statuses, priorities, SLA and follow-ups – and no framework to adopt first. Configuration is an afternoon, not a quarter.

Common questions
Is rapidFOX an ITIL tool?
No, and it does not pretend to be. It covers incident and request handling with clear tickets, SLA and a knowledge base. Teams that genuinely need change and problem management as separate processes are better served elsewhere.
Can we use it for internal and external support at once?
Yes. Teams separate the two, and each can have its own mailbox. Internal colleagues and external customers never see each other.
How are SLAs handled?
Response and resolution times are defined per SLA class and assigned per company, with a default for everyone else. A traffic light shows what is close and what has passed.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. There is a native iOS app, and the web interface works on a phone – enough to take a ticket, answer it and close it on the way somewhere.
