A shared inbox without the collisions
support@ in Outlook works until the second person opens it. rapidFOX turns the shared mailbox into a list a team can work through together.
A shared mailbox is the cheapest way to start and the fastest way to get stuck: two people answer the same message, a thread goes unread for three days, and nobody can say who owns what. rapidFOX keeps the mailbox but adds what a mailbox cannot have – ownership, status, deadlines and a history.
What goes wrong in a shared inbox – and how it is fixed
Two people answer the same email.
Every message becomes a ticket with one named owner. Anyone opening it sees who has it, and a confirmation step catches the second reply before it leaves.
A read message looks handled, and is not.
Read is not a status. A ticket is open, waiting or done – and what is overdue is marked in red rather than sitting quietly at the bottom.
Nobody knows what was promised to whom.
The whole exchange sits on the ticket, with internal notes alongside it. Anyone taking over reads two minutes and knows where things stand.
When someone is off, their threads are off too.
Nothing belongs to a personal mailbox. Ownership is reassigned with one click, and the history comes along.

Common questions
Do we have to give up our support@ address?
No, that is the point. You keep the address and connect the mailbox by IMAP and SMTP. Customers see no change – replies go out from the same address.
What is the difference from a shared mailbox in Outlook or Google Workspace?
A mailbox can be read by several people; it cannot say who owns a message, when an answer is due or what was agreed internally. That is exactly what a ticket adds.
Can several teams have their own inbox?
Yes. Each team can have its own mailbox – mail sent there lands with that team, and replies go back out from the team address.
What happens to the emails already in the mailbox?
Incoming mail becomes a ticket from the moment you connect. The old thread stays where it is; nothing is moved or deleted behind your back.
